XXVI International Workshop on Nuclear Theory

Rila Mountains, Bulgaria
25 - 30 June, 2007

The Twenty Sixth International Workshop on Nuclear Theory was held from June 25 to June 30, 2007 in the Rila Mountains, Bulgaria.
Following the good tradition from the previous years the program of the workshop was composed by talks and discussions on advanced topics of nuclear physics mainly related to the studies conducted in the Nuclear Theory Laboratory of the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Presentations and discussions were focused on:
  • Nucleon-Nucleon Correlation Effects on Nuclear Structure and Reactions
  • Field Theory and Algebraic Methods in Nuclear Theory
  • Exotic Nuclei and Few-Body Systems
  • Advanced Studies of Many-Fermion Systems
  • There were about fifty participants at the workshop, coming from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA and Japan. In friendly and relaxed atmosphere they reported new results on nuclear theory and experiment as well as achievements of fruitful collaborations. As always the the Rila meeting was a place to initiate new research projects and discuss future plans. The workshop provided also a very good opportunity for young scientists and students to study and practice physics, as well as to develop communication skills.
On behalf of the Organization Committee I would like to thank all participants for contributing to the success of the workshop.
The financial support of the Directorate of the Institute for Nuclear Research and the Bulgarian Nuclear Society for is highly appreciated.
The Twenty Seventh International Workshop on Nuclear Theory will be held from June 22 to June 28, 2008 in the Rila Mountains.
