History for 2008

XXVII International Workshop on Nuclear Theory

Rila Mountains, Bulgaria
23 - 28 June, 2008

The Twenty Seventh International Workshop on Nuclear Theory was held from 23 to 28 June, 2008, in the Rila Mountains, Bulgaria.
As in the previous years the program of the Workshop was focused on advanced topics of nuclear physics related to great extent to the problems studied in the Nuclear Theory Laboratory of the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, such as:
  • Nucleon-Nucleon Correlation Effects on Nuclear Structure and Reactions
  • Field Theory and Algebraic Methods in Nuclear Theory
  • Exotic Nuclei and Few-Body Systems
  • Advanced Studies of Many-Fermion Systems

  • About forty physicists, coming from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Spain and USA took part in the Workshop. In friendly and relaxed atmosphere they discussed new results of nuclear theory and experiment as well as achievements of fruitful collaborations. As always the Rila meeting was an occasion to initiate new research projects and make future plans. The Workshop was also a very good opportunity for young scientists and students not just to study physics, but to become a part of the nuclear physics community as well.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee I would like to thank all participants for their contribution to the success of the Workshop.
The financial support of the Directorate of the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Bulgarian Nuclear Society is highly appreciated.
The Twenty Eight International Workshop on Nuclear Theory will be held from 22 to 27 June, 2009, in the Rila Mountains.
