Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Forty First International Workshop on Nuclear Theory we are pleased to invite you to participate in the Workshop. It will be held between 30-th of June (arrival day) and 6-th of July (departure day) 2024 in the Rila Mountains, Bulgaria.

The International Workshop on Nuclear Theory (IWNT) is annually organized since 1980 by the Nuclear Theory Laboratory (NTL) of the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Proceedings of the Workshop will be published.

The aim of the Workshop is to provide an international forum for exchange of ideas, discussions and collaboration between researchers in nuclear physics and related areas. The program of IWNT41-2024 is expected to include the most recent theoretical and experimental advances in the field covering the following topics:

  • nuclear structure and reactions;

  • nuclear equation of state and symmetry energy;

  • symmetries and dynamics;

  • collective and intrinsic motions of nuclei;

  • exotic nuclei;

  • few-body and many-fermion systems;

  • nuclear astrophysics and related topics.

  • The Workshop venue is Hotel Lion in Borovetz Resort ( Borovetz is one of the biggest mountain resorts in Bulgaria. It is located at an elevation of 1300 m on the northern slopes of Rila Mountains, about 70 km south of Sofia.

    We plan to organize the Workshop for a third year in a hybrid form combining talks of on-site and on-line participants. The Workshop fee for on-site participation is 750 EUR (650 EUR for students, PhD students and accompanying persons). It covers 6 days full board, accommodation, the social program, transportation from Sofia to Hotel Lion in Borovetz and back and the Workshop proceedings book. For on-line participation the fee is 50 EUR covering the publication costs and the online-communication technical support. The way of payment will be decided in due time.

    In addition to the talks, a poster session will be organized. Five minute presentations of the posters with a few slides will be included in the program.

    If you wish to participate in the Workshop with a talk or poster, please inform us by 30-th of April 2024. An abstract of the talk/poster (up to 1 page written in LaTeX, style: Sample) should be sent to the Workshop e-mail given below by 31-st of May 2024.
